Martin Cates

Martin is the sales manager for Jaret & Cohn's Rockland office and the recently formed Jaret & Cohn Commercial Brokerage and Leasing division. To manage these ventures well and cultivate a thriving practice, Martin works with a team of dedicated REALTOR^®. He has found that by working with a team, they collectively promote a wider range of listings, while offering the kind of client contact people are looking for, from coaching first-time buyers to advising the most seasoned residential and commercial sellers.

This results-oriented approach is what you'd expect from someone with nearly 20 years of management experience at a Fortune 500 company. When he moved to real estate, Martin brought his people-skills with him, making him an effective mentor to the agents in his office.

Even in his market assessments, Martin places a premium on straight talk. "I don't sugarcoat it," he says. "I want clients to come back to me, and when they do, I want to be able to look them in the eye and know I gave them my best advice."

Martin is a devoted father and captures as much time as he can with his older teenage children by attending their school functions and quality one on one time with each of them. His other passions are golf and following the Red Sox. Martin can be found in the early morning hours at his computer checking in on his fantasy baseball league stats.

He also has a strong commitment to community and professionalism that enhances his abilities to meet client expectations.
